Northern Wake Senior Center
Wake Forest, NC
Northern Wake Senior Center is a public building designed for seniors of Wake Forest.
The building consists of three parts. Center part, which a renovated existing building, and north and south wing additions. The entry lobby is located in the center part, followed by a library and cafeteria. Art and pottery classrooms are located in the new north wing. Movement studios providing spaces for yoga and dancing are located in the south wing defined by a shed roof with custom exposed roof trusses spanned over the studio providing a sense of space.

My role in this project:
- measured and documented existing building
- elevation renderings for the arch. review
- completed construction documentation set including floor plans, roof plan, sections, elevations, details, reflected ceiling plan, interior finishes, life safety plan
- prepared based drawings for consultants - structural, civic, mechanical engineers, and interior designer
- Appendix B building code analysis, and existing building code
- participated in the bidding process, site visits, and regular meetings
- provided as-built documents after construction was completed
